In 1994 Derek Legge continued his automotive training right out of high school by completing both the Engine Performance and Engine Machining programs at De Anza College in Cupertino CA. In 1994 Derek Legge continued his automotive training right out of high school by completing both the Engine Performance and Engine Machining programs at De Anza College in Cupertino CA. From there he worked as a mechanic at a couple of local automotive repair shops in his home town of Santa Cruz CA. In 2000, Derek joined the Operating Engineers Local 3 Apprentice program as a Heavy-Duty Repairman and went to work for West Valley Construction. Since then he has moved up the ranks to the position of a Fleet Manager. Derek has been a NAFA member since 2012 and has also completed the CAFM program.
After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor degree in Business Administration, David went to work for Modern Continental Construction Company working on the Central Artery Tunnel Project in Boston, Massachusetts (The Big Dig), as a Purchasing Agent purchasing large scale construction materials and fleet vehicles
After graduating from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor degree in Business Administration, David went to work for Modern Continental Construction Company working on the Central Artery Tunnel Project in Boston, Massachusetts (The Big Dig), as a Purchasing Agent purchasing large scale construction materials and fleet vehicles (cars, light duty and heavy duty trucks) for construction operations. Deciding to leave the cold weather, David moved to Turlock, CA and came to work for the Turlock Irrigation District as a Senior Buyer and soon after, he was promoted to the Position of Purchasing Supervisor. David worked closely with the Fleet Department, purchasing all vehicles for the fleet since his arrival to the District. In August of 2010, the position of Fleet Analyst opened within the District and was a perfect fit for David to work exclusively with the District’s fleet. In 2016, David joined the City of Modesto, California, as their city’s Fleet Manager, managing 1,100 vehicles and pieces of municipal equipment. David became an official member of NAFA in October, 2010.

Jimm Vosburgh serves as Vice President of Corporate Assets for West Valley Construction, an underground utility contractor with 8 locations in California and 1 in Nevada. Jimm has been involved in construction fleet maintenance and management for over 30 years. He started his career in the Operating Engineer’s Local 3 apprenticeship program as a Heavy Duty Repairman. He spent 16 years repairing heavy equipment in quarries and on highway, dam & land development projects He transitioned into fleet management in 1996, before joining West Valley Construction in 1998. Jimm has been a NAFA member since 2002 and a CAFM since 2008.
